With my Bible and my lesson
and an appetite to learn,
I gather with others like me
to be nourished, encouraged,
challenged and filled
by  the truth in God’s Word that we see.

When I ponder each page
and apply what I read
the pressures of life lose their grip.
I can slow up and calm down
and risk being real
in the context of true fellowship.

If you’re hungry and thirsty,
come to the feast
to study, to worship and share
to chew on new insights
to swallow your pride
and drink-in God’s presence through prayer.
