Drastic flooding in New England
scorching heat down in the South
wildfires in Hawaii and up north
weather patterns have been changing.
Global warming seems the cause.
And while some may plead the fifth, I’ll take the fourth.

Yes, the fourth psalm speaks of trouble
in a world that’s all a blur,
yet the psalmist pins his hope on One he trusts.
Though despair defines the planet,
he will rest in who God is
even when the world around him turns to rust.
