Why Ron Artest’s technical foul is more than a technicality

I must confess
that Ron Artest
is best when on the bench.
The Pacers pest
has need to rest.
The verdict was a cinch.

That hardwood brawl
like Adam’s fall
exposed man’s sinful way.
That kind of wrong
does not belong
within the NBA.

My point in short
is that the court
had cause to be that stern.
To save the game
we love from shame,
the lawless have to learn.
